Ueno Park

Ueno Park is a beautiful park located in northern Tokyo.  It  features boating ponds, shrines and temples.

A 17th century pagoda, the Tosho-gu Shrine and a zoo can be found in the park.  Ueno Park is also the location of several of Tokyo's top museums:

• Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum
• Tokyo National Museum
• National Museum of Western Art
• National Science Museum

Ueno Park is a particularly pleasant attraction to visit in the spring time when the cherry trees are in full blossom.

Visitors can simply take the Tokyo subway to the Ueno Subway station to reach the park.
