The Shitamachi Museum provides a glimpse into Japanese history. It
features a recreation of candy stores, coppersmiths and shops in a typical
Japanese community. A
variety of historical artifacts are on display including Japanese manufactured toys and
tools.
The Shitamachi Museum is located in Northern Tokyo just south of Ueno Park.
It is within walking distance of the Ueno train station.
